Well, our bones are made from seaweed and seaweed forests sequester up to 20 times the amount of carbon than a land-based forest.

How are our bones compostable?

Our partners at Notpla have created a ground-breaking replacement for plastic made from seaweed that has been designed to disappear, unlike your regular plastic dog bone that litters your backyard.

HI, I’m Sara

I’m an environmental scientist, dog mum to Cisco and Lenny, and obsessed with all things outdoors. Seeing plastic pollution everywhere and big companies doing nothing about it whilst ruining natural spaces I love. Made me think—why not fix it myself?

Enter Kelpy Bone—the world’s first compostable dog toy. It’s fun for your pup, good for the planet, and proof that sustainability doesn’t have to be boring. Playtime, nature, and climate action? Yeah, they can go together.
